new smoke:
I turn off at the touch.
Flickering filament.
Spun sugar,
dissolved on eager tongues.
Bodies mingled,
as if an accident crushed us together
Can you feel my synapses fire?
My chest vibrates as you moan.
A chimera of glass and steel,
a monster of you and I.
Leaves falling in the autumn chill
I want to kindle a new flame.
Burning through the dawn,
a new day born.
An embellished memory.
I still wore a crown.
Burnt sage hanging in the air.
I just wanted to be pure.
Absolved of sin,
baptized in new smoke.
